One person was killed while three others were injured after two motorcycles collided head-on before dawn Saturday along Cabatuan Road in Purok 7, Barangay San Fermin.
Police identified the fatality as Armando Dela Cruz Piñol, 24, a mechanic and resident of Marabulig 1. He was driving a white Honda Click 125 without a plate number and was accompanied by two back riders — brothers Ronald Ducsa, 22, and Randolph Ducsa, 26, both residents of San Lorenzo Subdivision in the same barangay.
Initial police investigation revealed that Dela Cruz’s motorcycle was heading west toward Luna town when it collided with a black Rusi 125 driven by 24-year-old Michael Agas of Barangay Disimuray, who was reportedly traveling east toward the city proper.
Investigators said Agas allegedly encroached into the opposite lane, resulting in a violent head-on crash. Dela Cruz sustained severe injuries and died instantly, while the Ducsa siblings and Agas suffered multiple injuries.
Responding rescuers from Rescue 922 rushed the injured to the nearest hospital for treatment. Both motorcycles incurred heavy damage, though authorities have yet to determine the total cost.
Police Scene of the Crime Operatives were requested to document and process the crash site, while coordination has been made with the families of all involved. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
