Two women were arrested for illegally manufacturing fireworks without any permit at Barangay Pulong Buhangin in the town of Santa Maria, Bulacan, on 27 October 2025.
According to the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO), the two were found making fireworks without any permit, violating Republic Act 7183 or the Illegal Manufacture of Firecrackers and Pyrotechnic Devices.
Recovered from the two female suspects are three boxes of unfinished fireworks, and a drill used for the manufacturing.
Bulacan PPO Provincial Director Police Col. Angel Garcillano said that the PNP continues to tighten security on all forms of illegal activities, especially in the manufacturing of fireworks in Bulacan, during the yuletide season.
