The City Government of Muntinlupa has proposed a P10.07-billion executive budget for 2026, maintaining its focus on inclusive development and continued investments in public health, education, and local infrastructure.

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon, together with the Local Finance Committee, formally presented the proposed budget to the City Council during a public hearing on Wednesday.

According to Biazon, the budget underwent consultations and deliberations with city departments, offices, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations — proof, he said, that the local government remains transparent and participatory in the budgeting process.

For 2026, the largest allocation will go to the health sector as the city continues to strengthen medical services and facilities.

Under the city’s “7K” agenda, the proposed budget will be distributed among key sectors: health at 24 percent, development at 23 percent, and education at 16 percent. Other allocations include justice and governance at 15 percent, peace and order at 9 percent, environment at 7 percent, and livelihood at 6 percent.

Biazon said the proposed allocations aim to enhance the city’s basic services and address the needs of the community in line with Muntinlupa’s goal of becoming a progressive and resilient city.
