The Baler Municipal Police Station has intensified its mobile patrol and visibility operations across several barangays on 19 October 2025, as Typhoon Ramil continues to bring heavy rains and strong winds over Aurora province.
According to Police Major Edgardo L. Javar, the operation aims to ensure public safety, monitor road and traffic conditions, and assist residents affected by adverse weather caused by the typhoon.
The Baler Police, in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), have launched round-the-clock monitoring and assessment along major riverbanks, tributaries, and flood-prone areas within the municipality.
“This joint operation aims to ensure the safety of residents, provide timely updates, and enable immediate response in case of rising water levels or flooding incidents,” Javar said.
Meanwhile, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been activated by the MDRRMO-Baler to coordinate disaster response and ensure the town’s preparedness during emergencies brought by the typhoon.
