A drug den was dismantled while five were arrested during a buy-bust operation at Barangay Muzon South 200 in the City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan on 15 October 2025.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan, the operation resulted in the confiscation of P102,000.00 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu.

PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office identified the apprehended suspects as:

• Alias JAI (drug den operator), male, 43 years old;

• Alias ARK, male, 31 years old;

• Alias NICK, male, 31 years old;

• Alias MAT-MAT, male, 29 years old; and

• Alias ICAH, female, 36 years old.

The suspects yielded four transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money used by the undercover PDEA agent.

The team leader stated that the successful drug operation stemmed from a tip from a concerned citizen living in the barangay.

The joint operation was conducted by operatives led by the PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office and the Provincial Intelligence Team Bulacan.

Charges for violations under Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 6 (maintenance of a drug den) of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against JAI. Appropriate charges under the anti-drug law will be filed against the accomplices.
