UST alum tops Physician Licensure Exam

A University of Santo Tomas (UST) graduate topped the October 2025 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday evening.

Kharam Baricaua Molbog of UST achieved the highest score with a 91.17 percent rating, placing first among 5,900 examinees. Following him in second place was Eris Orlan Sto. Domingo Muñoz from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center with a rating of 90.67 percent. Third place went to Charles Jerome Reyes Bartolo of the University of the Philippines-Manila with 90.25 percent, while fourth place was secured by Jorel Franco Antone Navotas Tangpuz of the Cebu Institute of Medicine.

Other topnotchers include Zairah De Leon Monjardin from Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation and Beatrice Hope Go Reyes from St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine–William H. Quasha Memorial Inc. (Top 5); Nathan Ross Baoy Bantayan of the University of the Philippines-Manila (Top 6); Judah Elijah Manticahon Cagas of West Visayas State University-La Paz and Johann Vincent Gan Lam of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (both Top 7); Abigail Christine Dayata Sim of the Cebu Institute of Medicine (Top 8); Yousef Tahamid Naeem of Ateneo de Zamboanga University (Top 9); and Jarvin Vincent Chua Lumauig of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (Top 10).

The PRC also announced that 4,570 out of 5,900 examinees passed the exam, resulting in a passing rate of 77.46 percent.

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) was named the top performing school, with 104 out of its 105 examinees passing the exam, giving it a 99.05 percent passing rate.
