Federal Land unveils The Grand Midori Ortigas: a sanctuary of calm in the city’s heart

Federal Land Inc. has officially opened the first tower of The Grand Midori Ortigas (TGMO), a premium two-tower residential development in Pasig City that brings Japanese Zen design to the heart of the Ortigas business district.

Inaugurated by Federal Land executives and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, the launch marks a major milestone for the company’s first project in Pasig, described as “a modern Zen-inspired sanctuary amid the vibrant energy of Ortigas Center.”

“For over 53 years, Federal Land has dedicated itself to creating projects that contribute to nation-building through thoughtful, future-forward designs that add value to the community and enable people to lead balanced, fulfilling lives,” said Alfred Ty, Federal Land Chairman. “As Federal Land’s first foray in Pasig City, The Grand Midori Ortigas was envisioned as a modern Zen-inspired sanctuary in the heart of Ortigas Center. Today, that promise stands tall before us.”

Harmony and balance in design

Designed in collaboration with Tange Associates, the Tokyo-based architectural firm founded by Pritzker Laureate Kenzo Tange, The Grand Midori Ortigas embodies the Japanese ideals of wabi-sabi and miyabi — finding beauty in simplicity and elegance in restraint. Its distinctive façade blends Filipino and Japanese influences, with patterns inspired by the tatami and banig, serving both aesthetic and functional purposes such as shading and ventilation.

“Comfort must always be at the heart of our architecture,” said Paul Tange, Chairman of Tange Associates. “We design spaces that reflect individual style while ensuring they are functional, serene, and deeply human.”

Inside, the lobby’s high ceilings, natural light, and organic textures evoke calmness and openness — a hallmark of Zen philosophy.

A sanctuary in the heart of Ortigas

Now ready for occupancy, Tower 1 offers units ranging from 35.5-sqm studios to 109-sqm three-bedroom residences. Amenities include a fully equipped gym, lap pool, Jacuzzi, meeting rooms, and a landscaped Zen garden — spaces crafted to foster balance and connection.

Federal Land President Jose Mari Banzon said the development was designed to redefine urban living. “The Grand Midori Ortigas is our vision of what city living can be: elegant and calming, but still right in step with the vibrant lifestyle of Ortigas Center. It’s a home that lets you enjoy the energy of the CBD while giving a calming Zen retreat to come home to.”

Located along Exchange Road, the development connects residents to key business districts like Makati and Bonifacio Global City via the BGC–Ortigas Link Bridge and Metro Manila Subway System.

A rare residential opportunity

With Tower 1 now open and only a few units remaining, Federal Land announced that Tower 2 will introduce an exclusive One-Bedroom Flex Suite, featuring a 30-sqm customizable multipurpose area.

The public is invited to explore the development during the Holiday Home Fair on November 16, 2025, at Dusit Thani Manila’s Mayuree Grand Ballroom, where exclusive property previews and offers await prospective homeowners.
