Malacañang has declared special non-working days in the municipality of Angono, Rizal, and Lucena City to allow residents to celebrate significant local occasions fully.
According to Proclamation No. 986, 19 August will be a special non-working day in Angono, Rizal, to commemorate the town’s historic separation from the Municipality of Binangonan.
Meanwhile, Proclamation No. 987 designates 20 August as a special non-working holiday in Lucena City, marking its 64th Charter Anniversary, locally celebrated as Araw ng Lucena.
Both proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin on 4 August 2025, on behalf of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
