Three carnappers arrested in San Leonardo

San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija – Three carnappers were arrested during a hot pursuit that started at the parking lot of the Nueva Ecija Medical Center, Brgy. San Anton of this town in the early morning of 6 August 2025.

According to Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) chief Police Col. Heryl Bruno, the Nueva Ecija Police Highway Patrol Team (NE-PHPT), San Leonardo MPS, and Santa Rosa MPS chased three suspects after they stole a motorcycle at the aforementioned area.

The report stated that a 23-year-old male promo dicer from Brgy. Tambo Adorable, San Leonardo, reported that his red-and-black Suzuki Raider 150 Fi motorcycle was stolen while parked unattended at the parking lot of the Nueva Ecija Medical Center.

By 3:45 PM of the same day, joint operatives of the NE-PHPT, San Leonardo MPS, and Sta. Rosa MPS launched a hot pursuit operation that led to the arrest of a 20-year-old solar panel installer from Brgy. Soledad, Santa Rosa; a 30-year-old tricycle driver from Purok 1, Malacañang, Santa Rosa; and a 35-year-old tricycle driver from Brgy. Aduas Sur, Cabanatuan City.

The suspects were apprehended in Purok 4, Sitio Kaingin, Brgy. Sumacab Norte, Cabanatuan City, after being tracked down through coordination with the Santa Rosa MPS, which also facilitated the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.

The arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of R.A. 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016).
