The family and local government of Luna, Apayao are appealing to the public for help in locating a police officer who was reported missing inside the Philex Mining Camp in Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet.
The missing officer has been identified as Patrolman Aaron Langab Blas, 25, a resident of San Gregorio, Luna, Apayao. He was assigned to the First Police Mobile Force Company (PFMC) in Apayao.
Blas was undergoing the Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) at the Philippine National Police (PNP) training grounds near Dam 2 of Philex Mines. He was last seen around 5:30 PM on 14 July 2025, in the Zigzag area close to the dam.
According to initial reports, the patrolman was participating in a land navigation exercise when he went missing. His family believes he may have fallen into one of the manholes in the area and is calling on miners and personnel nearby to assist in the search efforts.

Meanwhile, a separate missing person report has also been filed in Luna. Guadalupe "Openg" Tugaoen Ubaldo, 78, a resident of Barangay Turod, has been missing since 14 July 2025. She was last seen at around 9:30 AM that day. Her family is likewise asking for assistance and information to be relayed to the Luna PIO.
