For actress and LGBTQIA+ advocate Klea Pineda, love is never something to be ashamed of—and neither is letting go.
In a heartfelt and candid sit-down on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Klea confirmed what many fans had speculated: she and her girlfriend Katrice Kierulf have called it quits. The news came after netizens noticed the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, prompting online chatter and questions about the status of their relationship.
“Yes, Tito Boy,” Klea said with honesty, confirming the end of their more than three-year relationship.
A love once shared
The revelation was met with overwhelming support, making Klea one of the few mainstream actresses in the Philippines to openly embrace her sexuality.
But behind the smiles and sweet moments shared online was a quieter, more personal journey—one that eventually led to a mutual decision to part ways.
“May kaniya-kaniya na kaming priorities,” Klea explained. “Mutual decision ‘yung nangyari. Gusto niya unahin ang sarili niya. Gusto ko rin piliin ang sarili ko this time.”
She admitted that while their bond was strong, they reached a point where they felt they were no longer growing together.
“Na-realize na namin na hindi na kami nakakatulong sa isa’t isa—parang pinupull down na lang namin ang isa’t isa. Umabot kami sa ganung point.”
Marked by respect
Despite the pain of ending a long-term relationship, Klea emphasized that their parting was handled with grace and respect. She even informed Katrice about her upcoming interview out of courtesy.
“Okay ‘yung dynamics namin. Kabisado ko siya, kabisado niya ako. Sobrang ganda ng relationship namin, pero may mga aspects lang talaga sa buhay na kailangan naming piliin ang sarili namin.”
And amid online speculation of infidelity—fueled by cryptic TikTok posts—Klea stood firm in clearing the air.
“No, Tito Boy. Sobrang proud akong sabihin ‘yun. Hindi ko kayang gawin ‘yun kay Kat. Masyado ko siyang mahal.”
She also made it clear that Katrice never cheated on her either, saying:
“Knowing Kat, hindi niya kayang gawin ‘yon kahit kanino.”
While the relationship has ended, Klea carries no bitterness—only lessons and gratitude for what was.
“Masakit pero walang regrets,” she shared. “I will always be grateful for the love we shared and the memories we built.”
