A fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, on Saturday morning, making it the third fire incident in Metro Manila from Friday night to Saturday morning amid heavy rains.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the blaze started near the back of Nueve de Febrero Elementary School and quickly spread through the densely packed neighborhood.
The fire reached the third alarm, prompting additional units and fire volunteers to respond to the scene. Firefighters encountered difficulty entering the area due to narrow pathways and houses built close to each other.
As of this writing, no casualties have been reported. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
