Authorities arrested a 19-year-old man for frustrated homicide and for selling more than P1 million worth of illegal drugs in Morong, Rizal, on Wednesday morning.
The suspect, identified only by the alias "Jon," was one of 10 individuals being pursued by police. He was apprehended during a follow-up operation conducted by operatives of the Morong Municipal Police Station at Sitio Talaga, Barangay Maybancal.
According to investigators, the suspect admitted sourcing the illegal drugs from Quezon City and distributing them in the towns of Teresa, Morong, Cardona, Baras, and Tanay — areas in Rizal province potentially linked to a broader drug distribution network.
Confiscated from the suspect were 25 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 200 grams, with an estimated street value of P1,360,000. Authorities also seized an aluminum cushion bag containing around 10 grams of dried marijuana leaves (kush), valued at P20,000, and a black bubble wrap used for packaging.
The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Morong Municipal Police Station and is facing criminal charges before the Provincial Prosecutor's Office in Taytay, Rizal.
Police are continuing follow-up operations to arrest nine other suspects also linked to the frustrated homicide case.
