The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) edged lower by 24.40 points or 0.38% to 6,388.46 as of the noon recess on 4 June 2025, snapping early momentum. The broader All Shares Index also dropped by 6.64 points or 0.18% to 3,764.31, as investors weighed mixed corporate signals.
Bloomberry Resorts Corp. (BLOOM) led trading with P362.5 million in value, rising 2.02% to P5.04. International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICT) followed closely, climbing 1.16% to P419.80 on P327 million in trades. Rockwell Land Corp. (ROCK) also appeared among the most active, up 5.58% to P2.08.
Among top gainers, Jackstones Inc. (JAS) surged 16.85% to P2.08, while Uniholdings Inc. (UNH) and Arthaland Corp. (ALCO) both posted strong gains of over 16%. The uptick in speculative names helped lift sentiment in select small-cap segments.
Meanwhile, Medco Holdings Inc. (MED) tumbled 15.32%, leading decliners. Swift Foods Inc. (SFI) dropped 9.26%, and Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) fell 5.53% to P12.98.
Despite notable gains in property and holding firms, the broader market pullback reflected lingering caution ahead of inflation data and global cues.
