Pasig City mayoral candidate Sarah Discaya has committed to constructing modern school buildings if she wins in the 12 May elections.

“It has long been part of my goal and advocacy to build modern schools that are truly dedicated to shaping the future of our children,” Discaya said.

She emphasized her vision for the Pasig Smart City School Complex for students from elementary to college.

Discaya outlined her plans to enhance the quality of education, including spacious and clean classrooms, a manageable student-to-teacher ratio, modern equipment and a focus on the overall development of every child.

“Full support for the needs of each student will also be part of the program — from complete school uniforms and supplies to ensure uninterrupted education,” she added.

In addition to education, Discaya underscored the importance of technology in improving medical services in Pasig.

“We are all aware of the challenges many face in accessing medical services — long lines, insufficient supplies and slow processes. These are problems that need to be addressed,” Discaya said.

As part of her Pasig Smart City plan, Discaya proposed incorporating technology into public services, ensuring faster delivery and efficiency.

Her plan includes digital queuing systems, electronic health records, teleconsultations for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, real-time monitoring for intensive care patients, and a sufficient supply of medicines in health centers.

Additionally, data will be used to create a smart healthcare program.
