Lovi Poe is set to star in the upcoming psychological horror film The Sacrifice.

The actress will headline the movie alongside Enchong Dee, Timothy Granaderos, Lav Diaz, and Pokwang.

According to a report by Deadline, "The Sacrifice" follows a group of travel vloggers who stumble upon a remote village haunted by ancient rituals and a terrifying legend.

The film is directed by Prime Cruz and written by Jerrold Tarog.

It was also reported that production for "The Sacrifice" has officially begun in the Philippines. The film features a powerhouse cast including Lovi Poe (Seasons), Timothy Granaderos (13 Reasons Why), Enchong Dee (GomBurZa), and veteran director-actor Lav Diaz. Comedian-actress Marietta Subong, better known as Pokwang, also stars in the film.

Produced under C’est Lovi Productions — the production outfit of Lovi Poe and her husband, British film producer Montgomery Blencowe — the movie is co-produced by Mark Stewart of Kind Hearts Entertainment. Montgomery Blencowe, known for Heist, also serves as a producer.

The project has support from the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), with casting by Thomas Sullivan.
