Senator Go leads Pasay motorcade, highlights health, safety concerns

A motorcade in Pasay City on Thursday, organized by Senator Christopher "Bong" Go, senatorial aspirant Willie Revillame, and the Galing sa Puso Partylist, focused on health and safety concerns as temperatures soared.

Go thanked residents for their warm reception, saying, “Unang-una, maraming salamat po sa mga kababayan natin dito sa Pasay sa sobrang init ng pagtanggap n’yo sa amin ni Kuya Will Revillame,” (First of all, thank you very much to the people of Pasay for the warm welcome you’ve shown to me and Kuya Will Revillame).

As the motorcade proceeded, Go reminded the public to stay hydrated and supported the Department of Education’s proposal to adjust school hours to protect students from extreme heat.

Go also warned of fire risks during Fire Prevention Month, urging citizens to follow the Bureau of Fire Protection's advice to avoid illegal electrical connections and be cautious while cooking.

Later, the motorcade team stopped to assist 91-year-old Maxima Dayrit, who fell in the crowd. Go’s team helped her get medical attention, ensuring she was safely transported to the hospital.

The Malasakit Center at Pasay General Hospital, which helps low-income patients, was praised by those who received assistance, including patient Pacita Navarrete, who thanked Go for the program’s support.

In a speech to barangay officials from Aklan, Go emphasized the need to prioritize aid for the poor. He also acknowledged that future events should have medical teams available due to the risks posed by large crowds and high temperatures.
