Kim Atienza survives bike crash, calls rescue a 'Miracle'

Kim Atienza revealed that he was involved in an accident earlier this week, sustaining an injury that caused him to miss work. The former It’s Showtime host expressed his gratitude, saying he was lucky that the crash resulted in only a broken rib.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the TV host and personality shared how he survived the ordeal and began his recovery.

“Thank you, Lord, for my 4th life,” he wrote.

“While riding home from work, a huge dog suddenly darted into my path, causing me to crash. I flew 8 feet over my handlebars, hitting the pavement with a thud. I heard a loud crack and immediately knew something was broken.

As I lay on the street, stunned, a miracle happened. Within seconds, a fully staffed ambulance arrived, provided me with first aid, and stopped traffic to prevent me from being run over,” he recounted.

Atienza described the incident as nothing short of a “miracle.”

“It was a miracle that the boys of FEPAG EMS PHILS were right behind me—off duty and on their way to have dinner in Malate,” he said.

He also shared how a Good Samaritan quickly helped rush him to the hospital.

“The FEPAG boys brought me to MMC, checked me into the ER, and quietly left once they knew I was okay.

Feli and Emman were in the ER to take care of their broken papa. Seeing them was so comforting!

I’m on pain meds now, off work, and taking a break from riding for a few days until my rib heals.

God loves me so much. I could’ve broken my spine or hit my head, which could have resulted in more severe injuries—or even death. But all I have is a broken rib.

I could’ve been run over in the dark if not for the off-duty FEPAG boys who stopped traffic for me,” he shared.

He ended his post with gratitude, saying, “Thank you for this miracle, Lord! And thank you to @feliciaatienza and @emmanatienza, who were there for me within minutes.”

Friends and fans of the Kapuso star flooded the comments with well wishes and prayers. Many netizens also expressed how fortunate Kim was despite his injury.
