A 17-year-old senior high school student died after the motorcycle he was riding hit a pickup truck along Marilaque Highway in Tanay, Rizal, on Monday afternoon.
Initial investigation showed that the Suzuki Smash motorcycle driven by the victim was traveling along Marilaque Highway toward Tanay, while the Ford Ranger Raptor was traveling in the opposite direction toward Infanta, Quezon. The motorcycle suddenly crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the pickup truck.
As a result of the collision, the victim was thrown off and trapped underneath the pickup truck, sustaining severe injuries, while both vehicles incurred damages of undetermined amount.
The victim was rushed by responding paramedics to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
