Star Magic artist AC Bonifacio figured in a motorcycle accident while she was in Thailand for the international project and K-pop thriller Perfect Girl.

"It was a motorcycle accident. We slipped. It was not anything crazy. We just slipped. I block my palm with my arm, kasi (because) if not it would have been worse," Bonifacio told Star Patrol entertainment reporter MJ Felipe.

Bonifacio was on her way to a weekend market when the accident happened. She initially thought there was no major fracture in her body, but she was wrong.

"I thought I was fine. I thought I was okay. I was happy that my head was moving. I was conscious. I was able to talk to people. I tried to get up right away, and I couldn't. I was in extreme pain. No blood, no scratches," she recalled.

Bonifacio contacted her mom and the producers of her project. She was immediately wheeled off to a hospital where she underwent surgery.

"The people in Thailand, the movie people, did take care of me.i had a fractured humerus. It was a clean break. It's a break that even orthos were saying I'm lucky to have," she shared.

With this, the production and Bonifacio's camp have decided not to pursue the project.

"We've all decided na it's better for me to just prioritize healing. And we tried every single possible way to try and see how we could make it work," she said.

Although she regretted the decision, the actress immediately accepted her fate.

"Well, it sucks because anybody who's doing her dream role...it's not like I'm just kicked out. There were so many discussions. We tried so many things. We saw how it would work with my arm, but the final division, it just won't work," she explained.

The fractured arm will need a six-week healing period, and Bonifacio had to undergo therapy.

Bonifacio is cast in ABS-CBN's action series. ROJA, starring Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri, will premiere on Monday, 24 November, on free TV.
