The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Monday that it has invited the now-viral "It's Showtime" contestant to its office on Tuesday to educate her on the poll body's functions.
Heart Aquino, a contestant of the noontime show, said she had "limited" knowledge about the Comelec when asked what her message to the poll body.
To which Vice Ganda replied, "That's bothersome."
At 20 years old, Aquino also admitted she has not voted yet.
Meanwhile, in a Viber message to reporters, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said they invited Aquino, who will be coming from Pampanga, to Comelec's main office in Intramuros, Manila.
"We fully understand her. Maaring madami pa na katulad nya na kabataan o mga Filipino (Maybe there are still a lot of young Filipinos who are like her). It is our solemn duty to explain who we are and what we are doing," Garcia said.
"If she is converted as a believer, then we can perhaps do the same for others. Voters education is the key," he added.
Garcia said they invited Aquino to understand why she initially had no idea on the poll body's functions.
"For our full understanding as to why. It is our failure. We have to immediately rectify," he added.
