The number of super flu cases remained at 63, the Department of Health (DOH) clarified on Tuesday, 13 January.
"63 cases pa rin po sa malatrangkasong sakit (Cases are still at 63)," DOH Secretary Albert Domingo told reporters.
Domingo made the clarification following reports circulated that super flu cases in the country are now at 77.
Earlier, the DOH said that reports of a "super flu" circulating in other countries should not be a cause for alarm for Filipinos.
However, DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa advised Filipinos traveling abroad to take extra precautions.
Herbosa also advised the public to get vaccinated, particularly those belonging to high-risk groups, such as the elderly, cancer patients, and those with underlying medical conditions.
