This recognition reinforces its standing as a Center of Excellence in IT Education since 2007 and a Center of Development in Computer Engineering since 2009.
APC president Dr. Ma. Teresita Medado affirmed that the institution’s focus remains on expanding its programs and reaching underserved communities.
Its seven-year Autonomous Status from the Commission on Higher Education reflects its consistent high performance in curriculum development, faculty expertise, research and community service.

Since 2022, its partnership with Carnegie Mellon University-Australia has been instrumental in delivering capacity-building programs for faculty and government professionals.
In 2024, it expanded its collaboration with the University of Adelaide, supported by Australia Awards Scholarships, ensuring that its students and faculty benefit from world-class learning experiences.
Beyond academics, APC takes student welfare seriously.
It recently launched the Digital Defender Program with Gogolook, the Taiwan-based developer of Whoscall, an anti-scam software that equips users with tools to avoid online fraud.
According to Medado, this initiative not only enhances cybersecurity awareness but also fosters professional ethics and global responsibility.
