A high-value drug suspect and two accomplices were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Parañaque City Police.

The operation was executed at 10 a.m. on 22 February in Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City, resulting in the seizure of 55 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P374,000.

The arrested individuals were identified as alias “Lorina,” believed to be a high-value target; alias “Ruel” and alias “Angela,” a resident of Las Piñas City.

Initial reports disclosed that the operation was carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Captain Luis D. Gazzingan Jr., Police Lieutenant Aldrin Engracia and Police Colonel Melvin Montante, Chief of Police.

Operatives confiscated one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white, crystalline material believed to be shabu, seven additional sachets of shabu, cash, a blue pouch and a mobile phone used in the drug transaction.

The seized drugs have been turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for further analysis.

SPD director Police Brigadier General Manuel Abrugena commended the operatives for their diligence in combating illegal drug operations.

He also stressed that each successful operation further strengthens law enforcement efforts to disrupt drug networks, protect communities and ensure public safety.

“The Southern Police District remains committed to eliminating illegal drug activities and urges the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities,” Abrugena said.

“Through coordinated operations and strong community support, authorities reinforce their mission to create a safer, drug-free environment for everyone,” he added.
