BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The Province of Bataan has recorded 324 cases of dengue this year alone, with victims mostly children one to 10 years old.

Governor Joet Garcia has urged his constituents to be cautious and ready in avoiding the spread of dengue during this season since there are many areas that were declared having “dengue outbreaks” in various provinces in the country.

He added that the Provincial Health Office (PHO) has informed him that of the 324 cases of dengue that was recorded this year, a big chunk of the record are children aged one to 10 years old, making up 42 percent of the recorded number of cases.

He urged Bataeños to check on their children, citing that if they have symptoms of sickness, rashes, dizziness and vomiting, body ache and eye sore, the parents should immediately take their kids to the nearest medical facility.

He said that Bataeños should ensure a clean area especially areas inside the house such as nooks and crannies, storage areas, canals, and other areas where mosquitoes can lay their eggs.
