The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) began 2025 with the donation of 26 wheelchairs to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) provincial offices in Catanduanes and Camarines Sur on Monday, 6 January 2025.
The donation, made at the PCSO Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City, was handed over by PCSO Charity Assistance Department Manager Dr. Orlando Malaca to Ralph Santos, a staff representative from Comelec-Camarines Sur and Comelec-Catanduanes. The wheelchairs will be distributed to local senior citizens and persons with disabilities in the two areas.
PCSO’s corporate social responsibility program provides assistive medical devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes to qualified local government units and organizations. This initiative aligns with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos’ directive to ensure timely aid to Filipinos in need.
