Seth Fedelin expresses desire to work on more projects with Francine Diaz

Actor Seth Fedelin, recently honored as the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Breakthrough Artist for his role as Lex in My Future You alongside Francine Diaz, revealed that he is still overwhelmed by the recognition.

At the Star Magic Spotlight event on Tuesday, Fedelin shared his gratitude and emotions following the prestigious acknowledgment.

“Sobrang thankful ako sa sarili ko kasi binigyan niya ako ng lakas na gawin iyung mga proyekto na kagaya nun,” he said. “Sa mga tao na nagtiwala sa akin—ang ABS-CBN, ang Dreamscape na unang nagtiwala at sumugal sa talento ko na umarte, siyempre sa Regal family na nagtiwala sa amin para umarte, at sa buong cast na supportive sa amin ni Francine.”

(I am very thankful to myself because it gave me the strength to do projects like that and To the people who trusted me—ABS-CBN, Dreamscape who first trusted and gambled on my talent to act, of course to the Regal family who trusted us to act, and to the entire cast who was supportive of Francine and me)

Fedelin admitted that the award comes with added pressure to excel in his craft and continue improving as an actor.

“Sobra po. Hindi ko po alam kung tama ba ang sinabi ko sa stage noon, pero at the end of the day, pag-uwi ko sa bahay after that awarding, sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam, sobrang worth it,” he shared.

(I don't know if what I said on stage was right, but at the end of the day, when I got home after that awarding, I felt so good, it was so worth it)

When asked about the future of his on-screen partnership with Francine Diaz, Fedelin candidly expressed his hopes for their tandem to last.

“Kung ako po, gusto ko po na kasama si Francine. Hindi ko masabi kung gaano kahaba pero gusto ko siyang kasama hangga’t maaari. Kapag aakyat ako sa entablado, gusto ko siyang andon. Gusto ko ang pelikula namin ang dahilan ng pag-akyat namin sa entablado,” he explained.

(I would like to be with Francine. I can't say for how long but I would like to be with her as long as possible. When I go on stage, I want her there. I like our movie, the reason we go on stage)

Fedelin emphasized their commitment as actors, acknowledging that individual roles might sometimes require them to work separately.

“May mga panahon na isa lang, may mga karakter na gagampanan niya na hindi rin ako kasama, at may karakter ako na ako lang. Pero alam ko susuportahan ko si Francine, ganun.”

(There are times when there is only one, there are characters that she will play that I am not with, and there is a character that I am alone in. But I know I will support Francine, that's it)

Fedelin and Diaz are set to reunite on-screen in ABS-CBN’s upcoming series Nobody, headlined by Gerald Anderson. This marks their return to television after the success of Dirty Linen.

“Kasi may Nobody. Sa ngayon, pinaghahandaan rin muna naming ang project kasi matagal rin kaming hindi naka-TV series. So excited kami na gawin ang Nobody,” he said.

(Right now, we are also preparing for the project because it has been a long time since we have done a TV series. So we are excited to do Nobody)

Fedelin’s genuine appreciation for his craft and his collaboration with Francine Diaz highlight his determination to thrive as an actor while delivering memorable performances.
