A wayward truck that lost control of its brake killed four people and injured 26 others in fatal road crash Thursday (5 December) night in the Katipunan Avenue-Aurora Boulevard flyover.
The wing van truck, coming from the direction of Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue and heading towards the direction of C.P. Garcia Avenue, plow and collided with several motorcycles and vehicles around 6:55 p.m., instantly killing four of them.
Two of the fatalities remain unidentified.
Sixteen motorcycles and five vehicles also incurred damage.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported that all victims were rushed to nearby hospitals by rescue teams.
The truck driver, meanwhile, identified as Richard Manupag escaped after the incident, but was arrested by QCPD operatives in a follow-up operation at around 1:30 a.m. (6 December).
He will be facing charges of multiple damage to property with multiple physical injuries and multiple homicides.
