Southeast Asian Games silver medalist Joanie Delgaco fell short of a medal after a fifth-place finish in the women's single sculls of the 19th Asian Games at the Fuyang Water Sports Centre in Hangzhou, China on Monday morning.

Delgaco clocked in eight minutes and 5.93 seconds as the Philippines remained empty-handed in rowing.

Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Hanna Prakatsen of Uzbekistan clinched this year's Asiad gold medal after tallying a time of 7:39.05 minutes.

Hometown bet Riqui Liu came in at second place with a time of 7:49.98 minutes while Japan's Shiho Yonekawa got 7:51.88 minutes for the bronze medal

In the men's single sculls, Olympic rower Cris Nievarez finished eighth place with a time of 7:19.45 minutes.
