A Japanese national was found dead on Wednesday evening at his Condominium unit in Sta. Cruz Manila, according to the Manila Police District.

MPD Homicide investigator PSSg Arvy Macarasig said that the victim — identified as Masanori Nakamura, was found by the owner of the building he was residing at Oroqueta Street in Sta.Cruz, Manila.

Police said that the remains of the victim were found at 8:40 in the evening inside his room.

The building's owner narrated that the victim was not responding to calls and when they decided to open the room of the victim, they discovered the body on the bed.

Investigations said that the victim was last seen alive on the evening of 12 December.

Police said that the victim was suffering from hypertensive illness and was a cancer survivor who arrived in Manila on October 2022.
