POCO F9 Series levels up beyond gaming

POCO is positioning its new F9 Series as more than a gaming smartphone, packing performance, battery, camera and entertainment features into the F9 Ultra and F9 Pro.

The two models are designed for gaming and everyday tasks, including work, studying, photography and streaming.

The F9 Series features a large display with TÜV Rheinland-certified eye-comfort technology, while its audio system was tuned through Sound by Bose. The F9 Ultra features a triple-speaker 2.1-channel system with a dedicated subwoofer, while the F9 Pro uses symmetrical stereo speakers.

POCO said the devices are also designed to handle demanding workloads such as multitasking, document editing and artificial intelligence-powered applications.

Battery life is another focus of the series, with POCO claiming the devices can last up to two days depending on usage. Fast-charging support is designed to provide several additional hours of use from a short charging session.

For photography, the F9 Series is equipped with a 200-megapixel main camera and supports 4K video recording with autofocus. The Ultra offers extended zoom capabilities, while the Pro supports shooting from close-ups to wide scenes.

The phones also support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for video playback.

POCO said the F9 Series is available through the Xiaomi Online Shop, Shopee, Lazada and Xiaomi stores nationwide. Pricing and availability may vary by market and sales channel.
