Guam, SEA destinations featured at Travel Sale Expo




The Travel Sale Expo 2026 press conference was held Thursday, 17 September, at the Embassy of Malaysia, highlighting travel destinations and tourism opportunities from Malaysia, Guam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The Travel Sale Expo 2026 will return for its fourth edition on 2-4 October 2026, at SM Megamall, bringing together travel deals, destinations, entertainment, experiences, and special activities under one roof.
With the theme “Where Travel Dreams Come Alive,” the three-day expo aims to provide Filipino travelers with more opportunities to discover destinations, find travel deals, and explore options for their next trip.
Organizers expect approximately 50,000 visitors throughout the three-day event.
The press conference was attended by H.E. Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines; Michelle G. Taylan, Travel Sale Expo chairman and founder and president of the Global Tourism Business Association; Director Mohd Faizal Sharip of Tourism Malaysia; Madam Victorina Hesti Dewayani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Indonesia; and Deputy Representative Michael Lee, Deputy Chief of Mission.
Also in attendance were Catherin Agustin, OIC-RD, Department of Tourism (DOT) National Capital Region (NCR); Carissa Mangubat Reyes, Regional Director, DOT NCR; the OIC, Assistant Regional Director of DOT NCR; Mr. Claude Angco of Starlux Airlines; Mr. Philip Gejon of the Guam Visitors Bureau; and Ms. Ryna Brito-Garcia, CEO of Sunlight Air.
Representing the Department of Tourism was Assistant Secretary Ferdinand Jose Q. Bagcal, who was designated by DOT Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay.
Throughout the three-day event, visitors can expect entertainment, competitions, performances, freebies, raffles, and interactive experiences designed to make the expo a destination in itself.
Activities include an F4 Contest, cosplay, interpretative dance performances, a travel vlogger challenge, raffles, and other entertainment throughout the expo.
