Authorities intercepted 15 abandoned inbound parcels containing suspected illegal drugs with an estimated total value of P382,722,200 during a drug interdiction operation from 14 September to 15 September at a cargo facility at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Complex in Pasay City.

PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP) intelligence personnel, in coordination with the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG), conducted the operation that led to the interception of the parcels, which were subsequently subjected to cargo X-ray screening and manual inspection by Bureau of Customs personnel, as well as K-9 paneling by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The parcels yielded approximately 28,324 grams of suspected shabu valued at P192,603,200; 122,000 grams of liquid shabu soaked in duvet and towel, with an estimated street value of P183,000,000; and 4,746 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana or kush valued at P7,119,000.

The seized drugs will be turned over to the PDEA National Office for proper disposition, with PDEA taking cognizance of the case.
