For Vice Ganda, performing at the UAAP Opening Ceremony was more than another major appearance—it was the realization of a dream the superstar had carried for years.

The Unkabogable Star shared the excitement of finally being invited to become part of one of the country’s biggest collegiate sporting celebrations, admitting that the opportunity was something long hoped for.

“When I was told to do it, I was super, super, super, super excited,” Vice recalled.

Long before the invitation arrived, Vice had already imagined what it would be like to perform before the energetic crowd of students, athletes and supporters who make UAAP events memorable.

“Fantasy ko siya. Noon pa, kahit pag may mga cheer dance competition, sinasabi ko, hindi ba pwedeng may guest celebrity performer?” Vice shared. “Sabi ko, dream ko yung makapag-perform sa ganyan.”

Making the moment even more meaningful was Vice’s connection to Far Eastern University, the comedian-host’s alma mater. Taking center stage therefore became not only a major entertainment moment but also something of a homecoming.

Dressed in FEU’s signature green and gold, Vice brought star power and school pride to the occasion, turning a long-held personal wish into a performance shared with the university community.

Over the years, Vice has conquered television, movies, concerts and some of the country’s biggest entertainment stages. Yet the UAAP appearance showed that even for an established superstar, there are still career moments capable of producing genuine excitement.

This time, Vice did not have to wonder what it would feel like to be the special celebrity performer at a major collegiate event.

The dream had finally become reality.
