RETURNING overseas Filipino workers and their dependents arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 in Pasay City following their repatriation from Kuwait aboard a Kuwait Airways flight. The group of 26 Filipinos — comprising nine adults and 17 minors — returned home after resolving visa expiration issues affecting the children in Kuwait.

A group of 26 Filipinos, including 17 minors, arrived safely in the Philippines from Kuwait on Thursday night after resolving administrative issues concerning expired visas for their children.
The group, composed of nine adults and 17 children, landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal (NAIA) 1 aboard a Kuwait Airways flight on 3 September.
Upon arrival, medical and welfare teams from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Manila International Airport Authority met the passengers to provide immediate post-repatriation support.
The government agencies provided the returning overseas workers and their dependents with hot meals, financial aid, emergency medical checks, temporary lodging and onward transportation to their home provinces.
A separate group of 11 overseas Filipino workers from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, also landed at NAIA Terminal 1 on Thursday via Saudia flight SV870.
They received similar airport reception and reintegration assistance from OWWA and DMW officials.
OWWA cited that its regional offices will monitor all 37 repatriates to connect them with long-term reintegration programs, including livelihood grants, job placement services and family counseling.
