  • Security Bank Corp. is sharpening its focus on wealth management, entrepreneur banking and corporate and institutional banking as it rolls out a three-year strategy aimed at capturing new growth opportunities in the Philippine financial sector.

The strategy, unveiled during Investor Day 2026, comes as the bank marks its 75th anniversary and builds on its strong first-half performance. Security Bank reported net income of P6.1 billion, revenues of P34.9 billion and pre-provision operating profit of P15.4 billion in the first six months of the year.

“As we mark our 75th year, we’re looking ahead with clarity and confidence,” Security Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Victor Lee said. “We know where the opportunities are. We know the strengths we bring to them. Our direction is clear. The momentum we are seeing today gives us confidence in the road ahead.”

In wealth management, the bank plans to deepen relationships with affluent and emerging affluent customers. Its entrepreneur banking strategy will focus on becoming a preferred financial partner for business owners, while corporate and institutional banking will target major projects, business ecosystems and growing cross-border activity.

Security Bank also plans to expand transaction banking by taking a larger role in clients’ payments, collections, cash management and other daily financial activities. The strategy is expected to strengthen client relationships while supporting the bank’s deposit base.

Its partnership with MUFG Bank will further support the strategy, combining Security Bank’s local market knowledge with MUFG’s international network and cross-border capabilities. The bank sees opportunities to serve multinational companies and facilitate business flows between the Philippines and key global markets.

Security Bank will also leverage its broader ecosystem, including Home Credit, Mitsubishi Motors Finance and SB Finance, to expand its reach in consumer and mobility financing.

“We’re not trying to be everything to everyone,” Lee said. “We’re deliberate about where we grow.”
