Not a few fans of It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu were alarmed over what appear to be veiled threats to the actress-host’s safety.
Of late, Chiu has been bashed left and right online, with one netizen wishing something bad to happen to her. One basher was even asking about her whereabouts.
“Sana may mangyari sa’yo Kim Chiu! Nakakainis ka (I hope something happens to you Kim Chiu! You’re annoying),” one basher wailed.
“Saan ba makikita si Kim Chiu ngayon sa Binondo (Where can Kim Chiu be found in Binondo right now?),” one guy asked.
“Kim Chiu, pabayaan mo na si Paulo. ‘Wag kang epal (Kim Chiu, leave Paulo alone. Don’t be a meddler),” a visibly pissed-off fan wrote.
“Sarah G lang ang totoong primadonna. Kim Chiu, laos ka na (Sarah G is the only primadonna. Kim Chiu, you’re washed out),” one basher said.
Fans were suggesting that Chiu take the necessary precautions as haters seem hell-bent on doing her harm. They also advised the actress to get extra security to defend her in case someone hurts her physically.
Anne Curtis says nothing to worry about her health
Fans of It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis can now heave a sigh of relief after the actress-host addressed concerns about her health after netizens noticed a lump on her neck.
While she did not reveal anything about the lump, as she prefers to keep the matter of her health all to herself, Curtis assured fans there is nothing to worry about.
“It is not something I would like to talk about. I would like to keep things I am going through privately. But to anyone concerned, I am doing OK,” she said.
Curtis feels it is paramount to put a premium on one’s health by getting regular checkups.
“It is very important you listen to your body. If there is anything I want to share, when you reach a certain age, do executive checkups and invest in your health,” she said.
“Yearly I get checkups. It is important. We say mag-start at 40, but I have been doing it since my thirties,” she added.
Aside from the three movies she’ll be doing this year, Curtis is set to lead the Netflix Original Series BuyBust: The Undesirables.
