Singer-songwriter Lala Vinzon is opening a new chapter in her music career with the release of two original singles, “Ako at Ikaw Lang” and “Karma,” under ABS-CBN’s alternative-rock label DNA Music.

The soul-pop artist wrote both songs herself, with production handled by DNA Music label head Gab Tagadtad.

Her first single, “Ako at Ikaw Lang,” is a pop-alternative love song about two people choosing each other despite criticism and judgment from others. Through heartfelt and romantic lyrics, Lala captures the excitement and sincerity of young love.

Meanwhile, “Karma” takes a different direction, blending reggae with humor, storytelling and social commentary. In a TikTok post, Lala shared that while the song was inspired by a popular tongue twister, it carries a deeper message.

Written from the perspective of a child witnessing a parent’s infidelity and its consequences, the track is performed in Tagalog, Kapampangan and Hiligaynon, highlighting Filipino culture while emphasizing that every action eventually comes back to the person who made it.

Before joining DNA Music, Lala rose to prominence as the first runner-up in the inaugural season of “The Voice Teens” under Coach Bamboo. Aside from singing, she is also a pianist, actress and lifestyle content creator whose music often explores themes of self-discovery and female empowerment.
