  • President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the turnover of financial assistance to the City Government of Cotabato and the provincial governments of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on 22 July 2026.

The turnover of these financial assistance were conducted during the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang and the Bangsamoro Government Convergence Program held at the Philippine Army (PA) Headquarters in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Del Norte.

The President turned over and awarded the assistance to Bangsamoro Ministries, Offices, Agencies (BMOAs), as well as the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) assistance to the Cotabato City Government and BARMM provincial governments.

According to Malacanan, today’s event underscores the Administration's commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Bangsamoro Government and to bringing essential government programs and services closer to Bangsamoro communities.

Marcos also led the implementation of the National Government-Bangsamoro Government Convergence Program, a joint “one-stop shop” service initiative bringing essential public programs and social aid directly to residents of BARMM.

The landmark program officially commenced today at the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City and the Philippine Army Headquarters in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte. It is held under the localized banner theme “Mas Matatag na Bangsamoro Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

President Marcos himself will spearhead the program alongside BARMM Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua. Its core focus is to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles, decentralize public service access, and provide direct, integrated governance down to remote barangays.

The program features the ceremonial turnover of housing units, infrastructure projects, and facilities. This includes allocations from the SCPF to the Cotabato City Government and BARMM provincial leaders.

The program aims to deploy temporary centers to offer immediate frontline assistance. Available services in these centers include business name registration, legal consultations, halal promotions, and specific aid windows for Overseas Bangsamoro Workers (OBWs).

The program will also distribute farming equipment, land titles, boat engines, fertilizers, seeds, and educational or medical financial assistance to priority sectors. To incentivize digital civic participation, the administration also launched infrastructure components like high-capacity internet towers alongside the promotion of the B-GOV mobile application.
