In a statement, the school said it is "deeply saddened" by the incident and extended its "immeasurable depth of sympathy and prayers" to the bereaved family and loved ones of the learner.
The division also assured the public that it is "not standing by idly" and is in constant coordination with the appropriate authorities regarding the incident.
DepEd Cavite emphasized that, as a learner-centered public institution, it remains committed to safeguarding the health, life, and welfare of every learner.
