Ernest John Obiena posted a season-best 5.81 meters despite finishing in fourth place at the Fly Athens street pole vault tournament at the Panathenaic Stadium in Greece on Monday.

Obiena, 30, cleared the bar with one attempts but missed out on a potential bronze medal finish to home bet Emmanouil Karalis via countback.

Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Christopher Nilsen of the United States defeated Thibaut Collet of France via countback despite both of them clearing 5.91m.
