Liu stuns Eala, clinches HK crown

Alex Eala’s title hopes were crushed by world No. 102 Claire Liu of the United States after a 3-6, 0-6 loss in the final of the Hong Kong Tennis Open on Sunday.
Eala, 21, fell short after playing for 93 minutes in her last Women’s Tennis Association tournament of the season.
She is slated to take home $22,125 or P1.4M for making it into the final as well as ranking points that could put her up to a new career-best No. 15.
