Mountain Province, all 10 towns pass DILG financial assessment

BONTOC, Mountain Province — The provincial government of Mountain Province and all 10 of its municipalities passed the Department of the Interior and Local Government's (DILG) 2025 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) assessment.
The DILG said the recognition affirms the commitment of local government units to transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal management.
To qualify, the provincial government secured either an unmodified or qualified audit opinion from the Commission on Audit based on its latest Annual Audit Report. It also complied with the Full Disclosure Policy by posting all required financial documents covering the second quarter of 2024 through the first quarter of 2025.
DILG-Cordillera Regional Director Anthony Nuyda commended provincial officials, department heads, and employees for their collective efforts in ensuring proper management of public funds.
He said the achievement reflects the province's continued commitment to transparent governance and expressed hope that it would encourage local governments to further strengthen accountability and good governance practices.
All 10 municipalities in Mountain Province also met the Good Financial Housekeeping standards, giving the province full compliance in this year's assessment.
