CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Local environment officials and private sector partners launched a two-day renewable energy expo to promote affordable solar energy and sustainable power solutions for residents and businesses in Mindanao.
The Renewable Energy Expo 2.0, held at the SM CDO Downtown Premier Sky Park, was organized by the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office in partnership with the mall management, the Mindanao Goes Solar Movement, and the Consumers for Renewable Energy Action in Mindanao Project.
The event featured the soft launch of the "Sayang ang Araw, Gawing Mura ang Solar" campaign.
Spearheaded by the CREAM Project, the initiative encourages households and local industries to adopt solar power as a practical way to lower electricity costs and secure cleaner energy.
City Councilors Gigie Go and Roger Abaday attended the opening ceremony on behalf of Cagayan de Oro Mayor Klarex Uy, alongside SM CDO Downtown Mall Manager Pauli Jesus V. Zulueta.
Organizers said the exposition, which runs through Sunday, showcases clean energy products, services, and technological innovations from local partners.
