Both are original members of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Bagong Sinag” Class of 2024 who were sent to South Korea under the Academy’s Foreign Pre-Commissioning Training Institution program in partnership with the Republic of Korea’s service academies.

Cadet 1CL Domingo earned a Bachelor of Science in International Relations at RoKMA, while Cadet 1CL Ego-Ogan completed a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography at RoKNA.

At graduation, Domingo received three major distinctions: the Star Cadet Award for overall excellence as a first-class cadet; the Outstanding Foreign Cadet Award for exemplary performance in academics, physical fitness, military training, leadership, discipline, and Korean language proficiency; and the Republic of Korea Army Comradeship Award for demonstrating integrity, selflessness, teamwork, and strong camaraderie with fellow cadets.

This marks his second consecutive Star Cadet Award, adding to his historic achievement as the first Filipino to receive the distinction at RoKMA. In May 2025, he also won the 2nd Korean Speaking Contest at Kyungrip Changwon National University in South Korea.

Cadet 1CL Ego-Ogan likewise distinguished himself at RoKNA, earning several merits and awards during his cadetship. He was recognized as a US Chinhae Naval Forces Korea Awardee after winning an essay contest among all RoKNA cadets.

He also received the Regimental Communication Aide Merit and the 1st Battalion Intelligence and Operations Officer Merit, reflecting his strong performance in communications, intelligence, and operations, as well as his professionalism in working alongside allied naval forces.
