Amid public conversations involving former dance group member Izzy Trazona-Aragon and her husband Alvin Aragon, one of her longtime colleagues chose reassurance over speculation.
During an interview with ABS-CBN, Sunshine Garcia-Castro was asked what she would like to tell Izzy. Rather than dwell on controversy, she responded with calm certainty, emphasizing prayer, understanding, and the kind of bond that survives difficult moments.
“Ipagpi-pray namin kayo at ‘yung buong pamilya n’yo. Walang halong kaplastikan. Kailangan nilang malampasan yan. After nito at kapag nagkita kami saan man, magyayakapan pa rin kami, magha-hi pa rin, at magkakamustahan, Wala ’yung talagang sama ng loob. Walang pinag-awayan. Nirerespeto namin kung ano ’yung naging desisyon nilang mag-asawa. Masaya kami para sa kanila.”
Her message reflected years of shared work translating into familiarity that does not easily fracture. For Sunshine, the situation was not about choosing sides but about preserving respect, both as friends and as families.
