Actor and former StarStruck contestant Alvin Aragon recently addressed speculation surrounding his wife Izzy Trazona’s departure from SexBomb.
In a candid interview with Jigo Postolero on DWAR Abante Radyo’s Jugo Live! on 13 February, Aragon detailed the spiritual reasons behind her decision.
Sabi ng Lord kay Izzy, ‘Come follow me, I will make you fishers of men.’ Nag-obey si Izzy du’n,” he said.
Aragon recounted that Trazona explained her resignation to SexBomb manager Joy Cancio, citing concerns over the group’s name, costumes and dance routines. “’Yung pangalan po namin, ’yung damit po namin, at ‘yung sayaw namin,” he recalled his wife telling Cancio. “Ano ba’ng mali sa pangalan? SexBomb. Ano ba ’yung sex… Sex is actually created by God na ginagamit ng… husband and wives, not girlfriend-boyfriend, at hindi dapat isipin ng bata agad ’yon.”
He also criticized revealing outfits and seductive choreography, saying, “May damit kasing gagalangin ka. If you look lustfully at the woman, you are already committing adultery in your heart.”
On provocative dance moves, he added, “Merong wholesome na sayaw, merong sayaw na seducing. Iba nararamdaman natin. Alam niyo ’yan, men. So umiwas si Izzy doon.”
On their marriage and family life, Aragon framed Trazona’s decision as part of their spiritual alignment. “Ngayon, family na kami. May nagbago nanaman. Pero this time, may asawa ka; you are the head of the family,” he said. “Sabi sa Bible, the wives must submit to the husband.
The couple recently appeared on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, where Trazona shared that she asked Aragon’s permission before joining the SexBomb concert at MOA Arena. Aragon initially hesitated due to the large audience and the nature of the event but ultimately gave his blessing after prayer. MOA Arena is 15,000 na capacity… O sige, hon, I support you,” he recalled.
Through it all, Aragon emphasized that Trazona’s departure from the group was never about him personally.
