Southeast Asia’s No. 1 travel inspiration platform TripZilla awarded the Philippines as Best Retirement Destination in Asia at the TripZilla Excellence Awards 2025, a recognition seen to strengthen the country’s standing in the global retirement market.
The award, formally presented to the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) on 11 February 2026 at the Le Parc Event Hall in Pasay City, coincided with the agency’s 40th year of promoting the country as a second home for foreign retirees.
PRA general manager and chief executive officer Roberto Z. Zozobrado, along with deputy general manager Atty. Maria Milagros R. Lisaca, received the recognition during the anniversary celebration.
More than international recognition
In his remarks, Zozobrado said the award reflects more than international recognition. “This recognition represents something deeper than a title. It reflects trust. It reflects experience. And most of all, it reflects people,” he said.
