The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) turned over several patient transport vehicles to five local government units and a national health institution Wednesday to bolster emergency medical response across the country.

The latest beneficiaries of the PTV donation program include the Lung Center of the Philippines, Imus City in Cavite, Bataan province, the municipality of Libertad in Antique, and the municipalities of Ibaan and San Jose in Batangas.

PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco said the initiative is part of the agency’s corporate social responsibility efforts to improve healthcare access in underserved communities.

“These patient transport vehicles can serve as lifelines, especially during medical emergencies when time is critical,” Tengco said. “This PTV donation program seeks to help build healthier and more resilient communities.”

The vehicles are designed to facilitate the safe transfer of patients and are equipped with essential medical tools, including a stretcher, oxygen tank, wheelchair, first aid kit, and navigation system.

Donnabelle Gonzaga-Arcillo, chief medical social worker of the Lung Center of the Philippines, said the donation would significantly improve the hospital’s daily operations, including home visitations and community outreach.

“This PTV is a huge help, especially for the patients we transport and pick up,” Gonzaga-Arcillo said.

The turnover follows a major expansion of the program in 2025, during which PAGCOR distributed 162 vehicles to various agencies and institutions, including 70 units provided to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
