Marines from Marine Battalion Landing Team-8 (MBLT-8) provided support during the Airfield Seizure Field Training Exercise under APEX 05-26 “ACERO” at Paredes Air Station in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.
According to the military, MBLT-8 personnel established blocking positions to secure key approaches to the airfield while supporting the main assault force of the 14th Marine Rifle Battalion. Units maintained continuous communications to enable timely reinforcement and casualty evacuation during the exercise.
The activity forms part of the ongoing APEX 05-26 “ACERO” exercises, which aim to test and enhance the capability of Marine units to secure strategic facilities under simulated operational conditions.
